"Namibian
Wonders", a two-week drive and fly tour package,
aims at giving first-time visitors a good overall introduction
to the highlights of Namibia. The tour covers Okonjima,
where you will get a close view of Africa’s wild
cats (lion, cheetah and leopard), Etosha National Park,
Damaraland and Twyfelfontein. Taking a short break at
the coastal town Swakopmund, your journey will continue
by plane to Sossusvlei. The ‘grand finale’
will be Wolwedans, situated on NamibRand Nature Reserve.
The more remote areas like the Kaokoland in the north-west
and Ovamboland as well as Caprivi in the far north-east
can be added to the itinerary if you wish. The mighty
Fish-River Canyon and Lüderitzbucht, however, can
be visited as a day excursion by plane while staying
at Wolwedans.
"Namibian Wonder"
can be booked in three different versions: “Economy”,
“Discovery” or “Deluxe”. With
regards to destinations and routing of the tours, the
itineraries are almost identical. It’s the choice
of lodges or rather accommodation standards which differ.
Most lodges and camps have standard accommodation, which
goes with the ‘Discovery’ itinerary as well
as Suites or Villa’s, which are “Deluxe”.
If your budget is tight, the Economy version gives you
the option of staying over at good-value-for-money establishments.
The itinerary is a good mix of discovery, adventure
and leisure. You will stay at most destinations for
two nights, in the case of Wolwedans even three. To
make this work and to provide you with the relaxation
you deserve during your holiday, our suggestion to end
the tour entails a ‘sit-back-and-relax’
fly-in safari to Sossusvlei and NamibRand Nature Reserve.
This combination will strike you as the scenic highlight
of the tour. The motto ‘See the game first, then
marvel at the landscapes’ corresponds with our
long-standing experience in designing the perfect safari
for guests.
